I graduated with a Master's degree in logistics... exactly. However, I've always been passionate about things related to computers, I liked playing, helping to write quests for games or creating small scripts. So I decided that I wanted to work on something that would entertain me and at the same time I would enjoy developing myself.
And while at first glance changing your industry right after graduation may seem like a risk, but...
...Make sure it happens.
After passing the entrance tests (due to high interest), I then took part in the Coders Camp powered by LiveChat course, which lasted over half a year. It included both the frontend part focused on React and the backend part based on Node.js using Express.js.
The course was divided into modules and each of them ended with a presentation of the project and a test. The projects were created in small groups.
It all ended with a 24-hour hackathon, which was a great adventure.
While creating my own projects on the side, after the course I found a job as an Adept Frontend developer, working my way up to Junior, Mid and then Solutions Developer.
Privately
I am a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (this is a slightly older photo). I have won 5x Polish GI Championships in this sport, and 3x gold at the Polish ADCC Championships, and that is where I will end the list so that You, the reader, do not fall asleep.
And besides that, I love playing games. I'm mainly a fan of FPS and souls-likes, so titles like Dark Souls 1-3, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Lies of P, Bloodborne, etc. are not new to me. - You could say that for someone familiar with the subject, it's a good indicator of a strong psyche.
And apart from playing...
...I also create!
In my free time I am a "hobby indie gamedev". So I create small games (more in the 2D direction, because 3D currently in terms of art I can do modest low-poly).
Depending on the time, sometimes I create my own project on the side, sometimes I start in a game jam, it's a great place to learn and meet new people.
When it comes to interesting things, I create everything myself, graphics, music, etc. (apart from the engine, I use Godot)
